Travel Arrangements

Right in the middle of this trip, I must start figuring out the next one to out West. The challenge is always compelling, as I painfully try to get the best deals and connections.

Our choices of airlines now have come down to two, Continental and Southwest. I'm aware we haven't traveled in a while, so I'm a bit rusty.

No matter: I'll have that trip done by tomorrow, and then I'll have to work on hotels.

A day's (or a couple days') work.

2023 and BeauSoleil

We all made it through COVID, thank God.  We are all looking forward to a new year with great adventures.  We do have two upcoming shows in December: in New Orleans on 12/8, at the Lafitte Greenway and at the Hideaway Dance Hall on 12/11.

Rhodes on the Pawtuxet Mardi Gras show, Cranston, RI, 2/10/18

We’ve played the Rhodes on the Pawtuxet Mardi Gras show many times. It’s put on by Church Wentworth, who also produces the Ninigret Park Labor Day Festival. It was the 26th year of the Mardi Gras show, and the place was rocking! We played a rousing dance set, and we were followed by Nathan and the Zydeco Cha Chas, old friends and great musicians.

Sellersville Theatre, 2/8/28

It was great returning to Sellersville Theatre! I cannot say how many times we have played there, but I can say that the audience is always great. Not too many danced, so we played more listening type songs, getting used to our new accordion player, Chad Huval. As always, we had dinner next door at the Washington Hotel.  It’s always a good experience there, too: great food and great staff. Playing the Sellersville Theatre was a good start to this short Mardi Gras 2018 tour.
