Going home

Tour is done, officially over.

The Lyric Theatre was a nice venue, well attended. Scott Fore was there and showed us the DPA mics he's been raving about since the NAMM show in January. We ate at a nice vegetarian restaurant and ran into fans, as well as Arlo Gutherie's daughter Sara.

We left the hotel at 9:30 this morning. No one was late!

It was a beautiful drive over the mountains from Blacksburg to Greensboro. It took 2.5 hours. We were at the GSO AP right at 12:30.

After checking in, the band had lunch and beers at the airport.

All flights today seem to be ontime. Now looking forward to the promotional appearances and then the West Coast trip at the end of the month.

Chandler, Arizona

What a strange place Chandler is: a made up resort on the edge of the desert. We were treated quite well by the promoter; everything was well done, from the accommodatios to the dinner to the venue. We also sold a box of CDs, so it was all good. Heading to LAX right now, and it's a beautiful day out there. I'm looking forward to playing at McCabe's: I've heard about for so long that it's somewhat of an icon to me.

2023 and BeauSoleil

We all made it through COVID, thank God.  We are all looking forward to a new year with great adventures.  We do have two upcoming shows in December: in New Orleans on 12/8, at the Lafitte Greenway and at the Hideaway Dance Hall on 12/11.

TN Shines, Knoxville, TN

Date: April 29, 2009 11:54 PM Topic: TN Shines, Knoxville, TN The day started with the Blue Plate Special on WDVX in Knoxville. This was a live broadcast both though the radio and on the internet. This was a good show. The DJ took us to lunch before we had to rush to the Bijou Theatre to do a sound check for Jim Lauderdale's TN Shines radio show. The band got a standing ovation after the short set, which means we need to come back to Knoxville for a regular BeauSoleil show sometime soon! Tomorrow we fly home to New Orleans. Big weekend in SE La coming up!
