Tractor Tavern, 10/4/09

Date: October 5, 2009 7:30 AM
Topic: Tractor Tavern, 10/4/09

The show at the Tractor Tavern was set up as a 'half dance, half
concert' situation. It seems that those who usually dance didn't show
up because they thought the entire show was going to be a concert.
Thus, the room was only about half full. The band played two very
nice and lively one hour sets to an enthusiastic crowd.

The uke was taken out for two songs last night: "Monkey on My Back"
and "Chanson de Cinquante Sous."

Today: long flight back home. Next up: Arden, DE.

The Kate, Old Saybrook, CT, 2/11/18

We played the Kate on a very wet Sunday night. It was our third appearance there and as always, the audience was great and so were the staff.   We played a fairly well-rounded set list, mainly to listeners, as there isn’t much room at the Kate to dance.  It was a good show, and afterwards we sold and signed CDs.  It’s always great to see our fans. I hope it’s not 4 more years until we play there again!

2023 and BeauSoleil

We all made it through COVID, thank God.  We are all looking forward to a new year with great adventures.  We do have two upcoming shows in December: in New Orleans on 12/8, at the Lafitte Greenway and at the Hideaway Dance Hall on 12/11.

2/11/10: Northern Lights Theatre, Milwaukee, WI

We played the Northern Lights Theatre with Alan Toussaint. We played this theatre last Mardi Gras with Trombone Shorty last year. Alan's band is really tight and it was great to hear them. We played a tight 50 minute set to an appreciative crowd, and we sold more merchandise than previous visits. I decided to take part in some Mardi Gras, so I'm heading back to New Orleans. I'll meet up with the group tomorrow (Sunday) in Chicago. [Posted with iBlogger from my iPhone]
