Ah, the Minnesota State Fair, Sept 2-3, 2016

Our last appearance at the Minnesota State Fair was in 1997.  It was the show before our first Hawaiian tour.

The crowds on our show today were quite large, people bustling about, eating fried foods and looking around.  We did get to see some old friends, which was nice!  

We've been told that the crowds will be even larger on Saturday, so we are definitely looking forward to that!

Rhodes on the Pawtuxet Mardi Gras show, Cranston, RI, 2/10/18

We’ve played the Rhodes on the Pawtuxet Mardi Gras show many times. It’s put on by Church Wentworth, who also produces the Ninigret Park Labor Day Festival. It was the 26th year of the Mardi Gras show, and the place was rocking! We played a rousing dance set, and we were followed by Nathan and the Zydeco Cha Chas, old friends and great musicians.

Sellersville Theatre, 2/8/28

It was great returning to Sellersville Theatre! I cannot say how many times we have played there, but I can say that the audience is always great. Not too many danced, so we played more listening type songs, getting used to our new accordion player, Chad Huval. As always, we had dinner next door at the Washington Hotel.  It’s always a good experience there, too: great food and great staff. Playing the Sellersville Theatre was a good start to this short Mardi Gras 2018 tour.
