BeauSoleil avec Michael Doucet

On Mardi Gras we played the Dakota in Minneapolis, usually a jazz club. We were treated quite well by the staff. The food was excellent, as were the drinks. It was a strange night, however, playing so far away from home on such a great holiday. [Posted with iBlogger from my iPhone]

We did two nights at Fitzgerald's. The first night was a Valentine's dance party and Michael's Birthday. The second was the 10th annual Jambalaya cookoff. Michael was a judge. Both nights went off well. Today is Mardi GRAS day and we're headed to Minneapolis. Happy Mardi Gras! Hail Rex! [Posted with iBlogger from my iPhone]

We played the Northern Lights Theatre with Alan Toussaint. We played this theatre last Mardi Gras with Trombone Shorty last year. Alan's band is really tight and it was great to hear them. We played a tight 50 minute set to an appreciative crowd, and we sold more merchandise than previous visits. I decided to take part in some Mardi Gras, so I'm heading back to New Orleans.
