Daryl's House, Pawling, NW 8/23/15

We played Daryl's House in Pawling, NY last night.  First time there!  In an odd way the place reminded us of a 'meat' Mulate's in that it's a restaurant that features music.   Though the crowd wasn't huge, there were many fans there, and we put on a good show. Michael played 8 accordion songs, which is a record.  Our performance was also shown on numerous TV screens throughout the place.   We do look forward to playing there again.  We were treated well by the staff, most especially by the bartender!  The food is quite good, and maybe next time Daryl Hall will be there in person!

Earlville Opera House, Earlville, NY 8/21/15

The Earlville Opera House was another first for the band. This venue is a historic opera house from days gone by.  There were band photos from past groups, and it was nice to see Mitch's old group Charvari had played there in 1995 or so.  The audience was great and danced around the room.  We hope to return again soon!

Clayton Opera House, Clayton, NY 8/21/15

Our first performance at the Clayton Opera House was great. The audience was very supportive and some even danced.  This was a nice venue right on Lake Ontario, so we could see the lake from almost anywhere in the city.  We've definitely put this venue on the must return list

Club Helsinki, 8/20/15

It was our second appearance at Club Helsinki in Hudson, NY.  There was a very good crowd for a Thursday. There was even a small dance area among the tables.  Trombone maestro Roswell Rudd sat in with the band, and boy did he blow! It was great to play music with him again, and we're expecting to perform again with him in November at Le Poisson Rouge in New York City.   The food was very good, as was the hospitality. We look forward to returning to Club Helsinki soon.

Upcoming shows

We are looking forward to our string of 'opera' shows in upstate New York, beginning next Thursday at Club Helsinki in Hudson. From there we will head to Claytonville and then to Earlville. The last show in this trip will be at Daryl's House in Pawling.  Hope to see our fans there!

Boone, NC

The duo show in Boone was fun! The audience had lots of questions before & after the show. And some even danced.  After the show, Michael and David visited the Doc Watson statute downtown. It's hard to believe Doc is gone! We all miss him.  Michael headed off to teach ar the Swannanoa Gathering at Warren Wilson College. David headed back home.  Look for BeauSoleil in upstate New York later this month.
